Personal consciousness or media consciousness?

Losing weight has become a challenge among every people from men to women, from teen-ager to senior citizen; everybody is up to the challenge.
Losing weight is indeed a result of media intrusion to the minds of every person. Supermodels have to be super thin to be awed and rightful to walk down the catwalk. Young famous people from the likes of the Olsen twins to the old people like Sophia Lauren were thin and this has become the whole essence of beauty.
Although Sophia Lauren was the gorgeous lady who is full of almost everything and all in its natural sense, it was only on the late civilization when men learned about surgery, and during the time of Sophia Lauren, everything has seemed to be heaven’s gift to her. Although her weight management has really been a challenge to which she was able to conquer with.
Weight loss is not just an issue for nomads but even to famous celebrities at it’s finest. A picture was taken where Sophia Lauren was seated beside Jayne Mansfield staring at her big breasts. The picture simply signified self consciousness of people not limited to ordinary people; even hot celebrities remain bound to the ideals of how someone should look like. One would probably wonder on how a certain person, famous in her era question her personal opinion about herself.
The issue about weight control and losing weight is by far the oldest issue ever made by media. Popular belief has made size two as the only beautiful size there is. There are number of super thin models who have struggled about losing weight, where they would opt to faint first before clearing through the food or drink of its calorie content. These super thin models were starving and constantly hungry as losing weight is their every minute task.
Losing weight should not be like this. It should be a healthy process and it should not involve any self deprivation of any food for that matter. Losing weight should still include a healthy diet to keep the body filled with vitamins and nutrients. It is a just a matter of balancing food intake and exercise to be able to maintain a lighter weight.
