Weight loss goes beyond cutting down on what you eat. It goes beyond doing your jogging every morning. It may sound complex but all it requires is simple commitment in taking control of you. Taking control of what you eat and what you do to lose weight fast and keep it all the way.
Why would one want to lose weight anyway? For various reasons, there are those who want to keep a good looking body, or there’s a need to change your wardrobe because you realize nothing fits anymore, but more importantly there’s a need to keep a healthy body and having a weight more than your body’s desired weight.
So when do you really say there’s a need trim down those fats? Let me introduce to you your body mass index. It is computed by dividing your body mass by the square of your height (kg/m2). If you are way below your body mass index or way above it then it’s simply telling you that you are underweight or overweight.
If your body mass index is less than 20 then you are underweight. You will also know you are underweight because you will easily feel tired and often times have fatigues. But more than it will be easier for you to catch diseases or infections. You also would not want to have problems with your internal organs as they will surely malfunction if you do not nourish yourself properly.
On the other hand eating too much may pose real risk as it may lead to overweight or obesity. If your body mass index reaches 30 then you are a candidate to obesity. Obesity is a very common in first world countries. This goes beyond the need to physically lose weight for cosmetic reasons but it has become an epidemic like in United States where one out of three Americans are obese and that their mortality rate is greatly due to obesity. Like underweight, overweight also exposes a person to higher health risks illness such as insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart problems and cancer.
To manage your weight, invest on eating the right kind and right amount of food coupled with the right exercise –and you will never go wrong with your weight management plan!
