The Kimkins Diet
There are a lot of diet programs out there ranging from the Atkins Diet, South Beach Diet, Soy Diet and even cabbage soup diet. These diets just address the growing need of people to get quick fix about their weight issues. The Kimkins Diet is one of them.
Kimkins Diet got its name on the one who created it who goes by the screen name Kimmer. This diet contains low calorie, fats, carbohydrates and fiber. Does this diet sound familiar? Of course, it does! This diet is a new version of the Atkins diet- another fad diet that was created on 1972.
The principle behind Kimkins diet is to eat as low as 500 calories per day. Kimkins diet gives a menu that specifies eating only 500 calories per day. This is much lower than the recommended calorie from the Atkins diet.
Although it is totally understandable if people would partake on this particular diet, it is worth noting that this diet does not promote eating a lot of fibers, essential fatty acids and nutrients. In fact, you are restricted to eating this food at all that you might as well go on starvation to lose weight. The problem with this kind of diet is that your body will not be able to function properly since it lacks the essential vitamins that it can get from food. The result is sudden memory and hair loss, anxiety and mood swings of a Kimkins dieter.
All in all, it is important not to partake on a particular diet without taking a closer look of how the diet works. Just because you see results on the dieter’s part, you might just be seeing the tip of the iceberg. It is important to look into the process of how a dieter lost his or her weight properly.
